You’ve got orders and will be moving. You’ve been to your local Fleet and Family Support Center and talked to the counselor at the Relocation Assistance Program.

But where will you live? Will there be quarters available on base? And will they fit your family? If you decide to live off base, will you be able to afford the cost of renting or buying a home? What will your Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) be?

Housing Service Centers (HSCs)

Temporary Lodging
Navy Lodge offers TDY & PCS travelers clean, convenient lodging at Navy installations around the world, with the same amenities found in some commercial hotels. To call to make a reservation, dial (800) 628-9466.

Navy Inns and Navy Gateway Inns & Suites, operated by NEXCOM, offer approximately 16,000 guest rooms at 59 locations worldwide. NGIS is considered priority-one lodging for all Navy TDY uniformed members and also offers lodging services for individual/group TDY travelers, DoD civilians and Space Available (leisure) travelers (retirees), reservists, Veterans with a Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC), and caregivers with a letter. To call to make a reservation, dial (833) 644-7378.

PCS Travelers remember; Navy Lodge is the official government lodging when on PCS Orders. PSD requires a CNA (Certificate of Non-Availability) when space is unavailable at Navy Lodge.

Homes.mil
Homes.mil is an official Department of War service designed to connect Service members and their families with community housing rental listings located near U.S. military bases. Users simply need to type in their current or future installation above to begin searching for vetted homes in the local area.
