DOD Housing Feedback System

The Department of Defense Housing Feedback System (DHFS) is a publicly accessible Department of Defense (DOD) website that establishes a database of feedback and landlord responses made by active-duty tenants regarding their privatized housing unit. This new initiative is designed to enhance transparency and accountability in DOD privatized military housing.

The DHFS provides a structured process for tenants to submit feedback, which is then reviewed and published by the local Navy Housing Service Center.

The system opens an additional, high-visibility communication channel for privatized tenants to submit public feedback related to the condition of their current housing unit and receive a response from their privatized landlord. The DHFS is intended to augment, not replace existing processes for submitting maintenance work order requests. Privatized military housing residents should continue to submit work order requests through their community’s property manager or other regular channels to receive corrective action for maintenance issues.
