Family Housing
Accompanied personnel have the option to reside in Public-Private Venture (PPV) family housing or in the local community. Check-in at the local Housing Service Center (HSC) upon arrival to the installation. The HSC staff will assist with all of your home-finding needs.
Privatized Housing
There is no PPV housing on Naval Support Activity Bethesda. However, accompanied Service Members and families are eligible for PPV housing at Joint-Base Anacostia-Bolling.
COMMUNITY HOUSING
The HSC maintains a current database of available off-base community rental properties for homes, apartments and townhomes. Housing referral professionals inspect these rental properties for suitability. The HSC assists with locating off-base housing in the local area, including:

Unaccompanied Housing
Depending on assignment status (shore duty, sea duty, student, etc.) and pay grade, unaccompanied housing (UH) options include barracks or dorms, and housing in the local community.
BARRACKS AND DORMS
Most personnel, E1-E3 and E4 < 4, are required to live in UH; E4s may be required to live on-base, space permitting. More senior personnel may be eligible to live in UH. Additional on-base UH eligibility information can be found on Navy Housing headquarters website.
There are many advantages to living on-base for single Sailors:
UH is conveniently located on NSA Bethesda. Accommodations are one or two persons to a room based on pay grade and square footage.
Comfort Hall - Bldg. 60 consists of 167 rooms. Each room is double occupancy and is furnished with 2 bed, 2 dressers, a microwave/fridge combo, 2 desk with a chair, 2 nightstand, iron and ironing board. Each room is cable ready, TV is the responsibility of each resident, and Go-Wi-Fi is available throughout the building for a fee. Common areas consist of a lounge on the first deck, which includes a TV and a pool table, free washers and dryers for residents. Cleaning supplies may be checked out at the front desk. Linen is provided by the staff, but must be maintained by the resident.
Sanctuary Hall - Bldg. 64 consists of 199 single and double rooms. Each room is furnished with single, double or queen bed, dressers, a microwave/fridge combo, a desk with a chair, a nightstand, iron and ironing board. Each room is cable ready, TV is the responsibility of each resident, and Go-Wi-Fi is available throughout the building for a fee. Common areas consist of a lower level, which includes a TV and a pool table. Free washers and dryers for residents on each floor, and a community kitchen/lounge equipped with a TV, refrigerator, stove and sink on each floor.
Tranquility Hall - Bldg. 62 consists of 153 suites, 306 beds, and is used to house wounded, ill, and injured service members receiving treatment at Walter Reed National Military Center. Each room is complete with a full kitchen, laundry, pantry and sitting area. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet, bathroom, computer and TV. Irons and cleaning supplies may be checked out at the front desk. Linen is provided by the staff, but must be maintained by the resident.

All rooms are subject to weekly inspections and residents are required to maintain daily living standards and comply with Unaccompanied Housing rules and regulations at all times. Any questions can be directed 24 hours a day to Central Billeting in Bldg. 62 at 301-400-0200.

HOME FINDING
The HSC's trained professionals can help you choose the right housing to meet your needs, whether in PPV government housing, community housing or unaccompanied housing.
HOMES.mil is an official Department of Defense (DoD) website dedicated to helping Service Members, families and DoD civilians find housing.
Home Buying and Selling – In addition to finding a rental property in the community, HSC counselors provide complete, objective and unbiased information on the home buying process. If you are interested in purchasing property, the Fleet and Family Support Center provides information and classes on home buying.
COMMUNITY HOUSING
Service Members should check-in with the HSC upon arrival at the installation, even if planning on renting in the local community. The HSC maintains a current database, that is accessible 24 hours a day, of available off-base community rental properties for homes, apartments and townhomes. Additionally, the HSC provides lease review services and is your Navy advocate for you and your family when housing maintenance, health or safety issues arise. Issue Resolution
Navy HSCs provide support with issue resolution for customers wherever they choose to live, whether military, privatized or community housing. Our issue resolution services are provided to both the tenant and landlord free of charge.
