The Housing Learning Center (HLC) provides innovative and technical training to Navy Housing personnel. We develop and deliver quality education to produce a highly trained Housing workforce with the knowledge and skills to contribute to operational and family readiness. HLC continually improves the Housing training program by aligning Housing tasks with training objectives to support Family and Unaccompanied Housing career development opportunities.
HLC is the Navy Housing’s center of excellence with attractive and professional multiuse training spaces: large classroom with multiple breakout areas, computer classroom, small meeting room or workspace, internet workstations, and lounge. Our state-of-the-art classrooms are equipped with modern technology to support rich multimedia presentations.
HLC’s courseware supports Housing management core skills. The courseware is continually analyzed, redesigned, developed and delivered incorporating technology-based training, performance support solutions and eliminating identified gaps between available training and current workforce tasks. The courseware capitalizes on instructional technologies and blended learning solutions as well as standardizes with CNIC courseware product branding. Course delivery modalities include Instructor-led training (ILT) offered in a traditional classroom; Virtual Instructor-Led Training (vILT) led by an instructor online; and Interactive Courseware (ICW), online/self-paced. Introductory levels of learning will be in a virtual environment, while more advanced skills are learned with expert instructors guiding role-playing and other forms of performance practice.
